Direction.

Hey Hearthers,
Merry Christmas guys!
What a year it has been, and we’re almost to the end of it. I have been pushing for Catharsis and all of the things that come with it lately. It has pulled me a bit away from the act of creating… Which is what I love — maybe you have noticed, but my posts and everything have been pre-scheduled this week! Hahaha. I have been taking some time back for myself to refocus my creative energies and to just exist again. And it has been fun. I hope that you’ve still enjoyed my content in my absence. I will be back up front in the driver’s seat soon!
That being said, I have felt myself being very focused on the future lately. Which is a good thing, but also to enjoy the moment is the closest we get to divinity. Right? I love seeing people throwing their heads back from laughter and cracking sly jokes as we go about life, I don’t want to fall asleep looking into the crystal ball that is the future. Events come and go and a lot of them only come around once. I think I have talked about this before. The balance between future and present is something that needs adjusting from time to time. There are things that I want to love and nourish in the right way during these crucial moments.
Moving on, I wanted to touch on the direction of my art. Or my photography. However you would like to refer to it. Do you notice a common theme to my Catharsis photos? Really, take a second — look at my Instagram before I give it to you.
The photos contained in Catharsis all fall into the (mostly) same color category. I haven’t released all the photos yet, so don’t worry there is more to discover. But one of the common themes of Catharsis is the color palette that it boasts. Red and green are some of the most commonly used complementary colors. I mean, think about Christmas which is happening right now. Green and red. So yes, Catharsis follows this green and red color scheme largely for various reasons. I am doing a live AMA here soon so if you have questions, save them for that!
Tying us back in… this is the direction I am taking for my art. Along with learning other techniques to improve my composition, I am placing an important focus onto color theory over the next few months. If you are interested in what I’m learning or would like me to share some things, ask and you may receive.
Last thing here, I am releasing fine art prints alongside Catharsis! They will be large prints - framed, signed, numbered, and dated. And there will only be ten of them! One of which I intend to keep for myself. So if you’re interested, keep your eye out. They will not be cheap!
I hope your Christmas has been wonderful, and that you have been having a good time in life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! I’ll share some photos with you before I go.
As always,
Stay warm.
