Release Time.
It seems, that a lot of people want the same things. The same kind of vibrations, the same kind of goals, the same kind of life. And while the things that have become popular are great; things like happiness, money, and health. I think that there is less and less room for people to explore or to be themselves.
And of course, that is me imposing my inner feelings on the world, but lately I have not felt safe to be myself. To speak my mind. Which is why I have come to my website, my little blog I used to write in every Sunday. It’s my little sanctuary, away from it all.
But I digress. I’ve found that what people are lacking, or what they need isn’t really what they’re being fed. We’re all in this rush and this struggle against time to never endingly improve ourselves. Our standing, our minds, our access to experiences, wealth. But somehow, the world withers under our feet.
The mountains are crumbling. The bees are dying, for no reason. I see the bodies littered on the ground every where I go. And who cares if I’m ripped and rich if when I get old and gray, the world left behind to my young ones is nothing but ash.
I’m often in disagreement with the things I popularly see. I’m often entranced by questions of philosophy, and stories of old. How the journey of a human being echoes the themes brought up in stories throughout time. As though a pathway has been mapped and we have none capable of reading it.
Shamans, spirituals, visual leaders are overlooked for their counterparts purely formed from logic. Slow processes that were appreciated have become redundant and bothersome. Plants that take hundreds of years to grow, have been replaced in the minds of our children by AI that takes milliseconds to retrieve any data available to humankind. The leaders of society have cordoned off entire sections of human knowledge, and human experience to themselves.
I say all this, not to say that the world has gone down. Rather to say that it has risen so far, that it needs support. It needs a solid foundation upon which we can launch our people to greater heights. I believe there is a space between all of this progress and the world of the past that needs to be bridged. And it needs builders. People maybe like you, who have found your way here. People with different ideas, and ways to see the world. People with great hearts, who will do many things for others.
One of my favorite quotes, that has regrettably become popular in culture, but not in practice is one from Greece.
”A society grows great, when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit.”
And boy, do we need trees. We have spent centuries chopping them down to arrive where we are.
I would like to leave you with a question: if you could dedicate your life to leaving something - anything behind in this world, what would it be?
Much love, and as always, stay warm.
