Instructions For Inifnity.

This is for those of you who have trouble finding a sense of direction. In life, in love, in the workplace, or just in general.

What I want you to do, is to pick out someone you look up to — even better yet, imagine yourself as that person you look up to. What traits do you have? What makes you admire this version of yourself?

Are you calm under pressure? Do you follow your values through any kind of storm placed before you? Are you the hardest worker in the world and then some? Do you act with kindness and forgiveness?

Ask yourself these questions about who that person would be, how that person would act, and their journey on becoming all of those things.

Then get to work.

It’s my belief that we’re all our own biggest projects, and I know it sounds backwards, but by being selfish in some ways and cultivating ourselves we are opening ourselves to give the world what we were created for. By becoming the best versions of ourselves possible we are actually giving more to the world than we would if we kept being nice.

There is a stark difference in kindness and niceness. A nice person will let another person make a fool of themselves and not say anything to the person. A kind person will tell the harsh truth, and have faith that the receiver of the truth will be able to process and forgive them for being the messenger.

Don’t be afraid to check your friends. Don’t give in to being nice, when you could be kind. Walk that fine line and really really figure out exactly where it is. That’s what I think.

The importance of breaks is underrated.

Every 90 minutes you should be taking at least five minutes for yourself. Readjusting your eyes is far more important than focusing on the point of interest. We get caught up on needing to be productive and we forget that the balance of productivity and relaxation is where you find the most value.

I hope your week has gone well.

Find your inner strength in moments you haven’t before.

Stay warm.
