Oh and dance we shall my dear life. Maybe I’m writing this for myself, or maybe I’m writing as some sort small part of my legacy. But I don’t want this flame to go out. I find it harder and harder to make time to do this, hence, why I have missed some Sundays. Better late than never, but never late is better. If you weather the whether, a blog will always drop and we’ll come up together.
Down to business.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Don’t be afraid. Literally take chances you know you have a good chance at failing at for the sake of taking the chance. Girl “waaay too out of your league”? Holla. Literally rolling her eyes as you walk up? Nut up and just say it. Do it again and again. Job too prestigious? You feel out of place because the place you’re in is too posh and high brow? Do it again. And again. Bat up against the outsides of your cage and feel that uncomfortability of pressure. Be yourself in your interactions, always.
Then when it all slows down… bask in the glory of growth. There’s only one way into the sun my friends.
I have always sought out the good in the bad. I think that it’s a great skill to have. When you ask any elite player, entrepreneur, any top level person really… they are always just as impressed with their losses as their wins. Do you know why?
It’s not because they like to lose. They hate it more than anything. It’s because while success leaves breadcrumbs, failures leave feasts. Look at your defeats.
I have a goal in life: to maintain my integrity, and my heart until I die. I’ve never stolen anything. Haha… I have this kind of fantasy about growing super old and going to the store to steal something pretty much in plain sight as a bucket list thing. It will be perfect.
