Warmly - to my project called Catharsis.
Catharsis by dictionary definition means “the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions”. And my project was born from that.
Through these photographs I have been able to express a lot of the emotion I have felt through a turbulent time of life.
They document my arrival into the city, into a world that I was yet to discover, and that was yet to discover me.
More than that though, these photographs document me searching for the bits of myself that we, as humans, can only seem to find as we venture through life.
Catharsis is both a graveyard for the past and a garden for the future. Embark with me on this journey through time and contemplation.
