Decisions.

Principles

There are some things we can choose in life; what car we drive, what job we do, who we love, where we live. And there are some things we can’t choose in life; what family we’re born into, who we love, our natural dispositions, our ethnicity, what time period we’re born into. I’m sure there are more, and more meaningful things that we can’t choose that I can’t think of at this time. Toss one down in the comments if you think of a good one!

Anyways, going about how to choose what we can choose comes down to our principles. What are principles, you ask? They’re the basic truths we’ve chosen for ourselves to operate within in this world. For some, family matters most. For others, the pursuit of personal success is everything. They can range from rules, like non-violence. To ideologies like, ‘the need of the many trumps the need of the few’. Whatever your principles - what we choose for ourselves is a direct derivative of the truths we’ve chosen for ourselves.

Of course these smaller decisions can fluctuate throughout your lifetime, but I encourage you to write them down and define them for yourself.

Business

I don’t even know if anyone reads my blog. But if you do, and are, I encourage you to start to create your own infrastructure for retirement. Learn some of basics of financial fluency and seek out knowledge surrounding your future.

The U.S. has 1.4 trillion dollars in outstanding credit card debt. This is not including mortgage payments and car loans. The cost of living is soaring while wages remain largely the same. I am not trying to fearmonger you, I am recognizing a shift in consumer spending and I believe more people should achieve financial literacy in order to be able to age without anxiety.

Music

Don’t judge me, but Justin Bieber and the Kid Laroi kinda slap.

Synopsis

Take some time to define and write down your principles.

Gain financial literacy, it’s sad, but the greater wealth disparity becomes and the more modern times become the less that the systems in place seem to be able to support everyone.

Love your own music, no judgement from me.

I hope your week has gone well. I had a lot of opportunities to take photographs this week. I also received a very lucky opportunity. I hope that all of my work will some day bear the fruits of my labor.

Much love.

Stay warm,
